Event Calender in Kyoto – September 2013

The special public opening of the Gion Kobu Practice Hall Garden. This hall is famous for being the stage of Maiko/Geiko (Geisha) dancing performance. : July 13th – September 30th (September 20th – 24th is closed)
Place: Gion Kobu Kaburenjyo. The nearest station is Gion Shijo (Keihan)
Fee: 600 yen (adult) 300 yen (kids)

The special public opening of Gionkaku Tower at Daiunin Temple. This temple was built to commemorate to one of the most famous lords, Nobunaga Oda and his son Nobutada. You can see the beautiful scenery from an observatory of this tower.: July 13th – September 30th (September 26 is closed)
Place: Daiunin Temple. The nearest station is Gion Shijo (Keihan)
Fee: 600 yen (adult) 300 yen (kids)

Ukiyoe collection which focuses on summer and fireworks (10:00 – 20:00 Last Entry is 19:30 Note that it will be closed at 17:00 on September 9th) : August 15th – September 9th
Place: Art Gallery EKI on 7th floor in Kyoto Isetan Department Store. It’s connected to JR Kyoto station building.
Fee: 800 yen (adult) 600 yen (uni & high student) 400 yen (mid & Elem student)

Flea market at Hyakumanben Temple: September 15th
Place: Hyakumanben Chionji Temple. The nearest station is Demachi Yanagi (Keihan)
