Ikenobo is the largest flower arrangement group in Japan. Ikenobo originated at a temple called Rokkakudo in the middle of Kyoto City. It is said that the preachers living in this temple started putting flowers out everyday and as the time went by, they became known as flower arrangement masters.
Ikenobo organizes a big event every year in November, usually in two different locations; Ikenobo Building next to Rokkakudo and Takashimaya department store.
For more information on Ikenobo, please visit their official website. Also, for people who are inclined to see their works, there is a museum at Ikenobo’s building. To visit the museum, it is required to make a reservation via email in advance: firstname.lastname@example.org
