As explained in “Go to Ise by Premium Limited Express Shimakaze” recently, Kintestsu will begin operating a luxurious limited express called Shimakaze from October 10th. It will travel from Kyoto to the Shima/Ise Area, which is famous for a marine resort and Ise Jingu Shrine, the most prestigious shrine in Japan.
It is easy to see how luxurious it is by clicking on the above link and reading the previous article or watching this video:
However, for those who are inclined to actually “experience” how gorgeous it is, go to Kyoto Aquarium. Kyoto Aquarium, which is very unique when it comes to special displays, is going to provide an opportunity for the train fans out there.
On September 27th and 28th, Kyoto Aquarium is holding a special event to promote Shimakaze by displaying its premium seats, giving 400 original clear files to kids and providing a professional photo service using a special Shimakaze frame and conductor’s hat (1500 yen).
Visitors can actually take a seat in Shimakaze’s premium seats. Thus, even though it isn’t possible to take the express at this time, it might be fun to experience, especially for a group with kids.
