Go to Shimogamo Shrine for the Moon Viewing Ceremony

If you are in Kyoto now (September 15th 2016), go to Shimogamo Shrine. On September 15th, Shimogamo Shrine will hold an annual moon viewing event. In addition to viewing the beautiful harvest moon, you can experience the traditional Shinto rituals and listen to the traditional Japanese music.

It starts at around 17:30. It is free to join but if you would like to have a cup of green tea with a seat, 1000 yen is required.
