If you are in Kyoto now (September 19th 2016), let’s go to Heian Jingu Shrine.
On September 19th, Heian Jingu Shrine will open their beautiful gardens called “Shinen” for FREE.

This garden has a style called “Chisenkaiyu”, which features a pond as its base. Usually you need pay 600 yen (adult). Personally speaking, it is worth visiting even with an entrance fee. So, if you are lucky to be in Kyoto on September 19th, let’s prioritize visiting this shrine. The garden opens from 8:30 – 16:30.
