Go to Hogonin Temple in Arashiyama Kyoto for Beatiful Garden Viewing

If you are in Kyoto now (October 1st – December 4th), visit Hogoinin Temple in Kyoto. Hogoinin Temple is famous for having a beatiful Japanese garden, called “Shishiku no Niwa”. This garden cleverly utilizes the picturesque Arashiyama Mountain as a background, and is believed to be one of the most graceful gardens in Kyoto. This temple opens from 9:00 – 17:00. Entrance fee for their garden is as follows: Adult 500 yen, Middle & Elementary School Student 300 yen. Note that if you also would like to see the main hall, same amount of fee is required to see it.

Additionally, if you are planning to stay in Kyoto sometime in between Novemeber 11th to December 4th, let’s visit this temple at night for the illumination event (17:30 – 20:30). Entrance fee for the illumination is: Adult 600 yen, Middle & Elementary School Student 300 yen.
