Maple Ritual at Jinushi Shrine in Kiyomizudera Temple

If you are in Kyoto now (November 23rd 2016), go to Jinushi Shrine to see the Maple Ritual. This ritual is to appreciate the autumn harvest and pray for family safety and business prosperity. A Miko (shrine maiden) will perform some traditional shinto dance called Kagura with maple leaves.

The ritual will start at 14:00. It is free, but you need to pay the entrance fee to Kiyomizudera Temple, in which Jinushi Shrine is located. This means you can see Kiyomizudera Temple as well.

Additionally, Jinushi Shrine is famous as a spot to make a wish to find the perfect girl friend/boy friend. Please read “3 Shrines for Praying for a Mate” for details.
