We operate our tours with a small group of participants (2-6), and use public transportation (and of course, walking). So, it can be highly personalized and customized according to your requests.

Our tours operate every Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 and/or 13:00 – 16:00.
The minimum number for the tour is two people.

There are two tour courses.

1. Standard

Kyoto Station (or your hotel)>Kiyomizudera Temple>Sanenzaka Slope (traditional shopping street)>Kodaiji Temple (optional)>Yasaka Shrine>Gion Area

This course is especially suitable for travelers who visit Kyoto for the first time. The highlight of the tour is Kiyomizudera Temple. It’s the landmarks of Kyoto. From there, we will take you to very traditional streets/slopes, where you can enjoy shopping and snacking, leading to the next stop Kodaiji Temple (optional). We will visit Maruyama Park and Yasaka Shrine. The tour ends in the Gion district, where you can find many shops and restaurants.

The price is 5000 yen per person (2000 yen for kids from 5 – 13 years old). Note that this does not include transportation and entrance fees to temples. These costs will be about 1500 yen per person. The payment will be processed by PayPal. Cash is also acceptable (in both cases, invoices will be issued).

2. The Walk

Kyoto Station (or your hotel)>Ginkakuji Temple>Philosopher’s Path>Nanzenji Temple>Heian Jingu Shrine

This tour will satisfy those who love walking or prefer walking to using transportation. Although public transportation is necessary to reach the first stop, Ginkakuji Temple, we will mainly walk till the last stop, Heian Jingu Shrine. Expect that you will walk at least 2 hours 30 minutes, but we will have short breaks from time to time. With this tour, you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery in addition to visiting the historical sites in Kyoto.
